We are now in Tbilisi having cycled nearly 3,900 miles and climbed almost 309,000 feet and travelled through 12 different countries across Europe and part of Asia and completed the first stage of our journey. We are taking a few days to plan, recover and relax before our flight to India.

Tbilisi. It was fantastic to arrive in Tbilisi with the prospect of a few days off to rest before our flight to India. Tbilisi is an amazing city and we had accommodation arranged thanks to the kind and incredibly generous Nina.

Bit of a leisurely start as breakfast at the Hotel Demigrand didn’t start until 7.30 - it was a really good breakfast. Usually breakfast consists of feta, bread, tomatoes and cucumbers-

Slow start to the day as we waited for the bike shops to open so we could repair Alice! Lovely Turkish man fiddled with the gears - but only a partial fix. Had a nice breakfast then headed off.

Made a quick exit from the campsite having overslept with snoring (not me or Razzle Marsden!), music and general bedlam
